'Santosh', the joint production of India and UK is all set to have a theatrical release in India now. It has already had a wide theatrical release in Britain.

It will be releasing in India on the 10th of January in 2025. The movie has been shortlisted in the category of best international films for the Oscars this year. It represents the UK for the awards and not India.

'Santosh' is directed and also produced by Sandhya Suri. It stars actors like Shahana Goswami, Sunita Rajwar, Kushal Dubey, Sanjay Bishnoi and tells the story of a woman of 28 whose husband dies suddenly and she inherits his place in the police force.

India's selection for the Oscars did not even make it to the list. 'Laapata Ladies' was selected by a panel of 13 male juries and there has been quite a huge controversy on the selection.

But India's chance has not gone overall. Santosh has all the chances of having an Oscar this time and Indian fans will get to experience it in theaters from the 10th of January.
