The confusion around release dates of big films is becoming quite common in Tollywood, and now Nani's The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, has also landed in the middle of this discussion.
In the last few days, there were strong rumors that the film might get postponed again, from its current August 21 date to December. Earlier, the film was supposed to release in March but was pushed to August because of pending shooting and post-production work. However, according to inside sources, these latest rumors are not true. The team is still aiming firmly for an August 21 release and is working towards meeting that deadline.
However, the bigger issue here is the overall uncertainty around release dates in the industry. Peddi has already changed its release date multiple times and is still not fully locked. There are still pending works like an item song and background score by AR Rahman. Because of such situations, both fans and trade circles have become cautious about believing release dates too early. Because of Peddi, many other films are also facing uncertainty.
Coming to The Paradise, the schedule is tight but still nothing that cannot be managed. There are around four and a half months left. In that time, the team has to finish the remaining shoot, complete background score work, and go through censor formalities.
Nani is also planning a big promotional campaign. He is known for promoting his films aggressively across cities like Mumbai, Chennai, and more. This time too, he is expected to spend around 25 days just on promotions, which is a significant commitment.
Another important factor is music director Anirudh, who is currently busy with multiple big projects. If there are any date clashes, especially with films like Jailer 2, it could add pressure on the timeline. So, everything depends on how smoothly things move from here.
The film also stars Kayadu Lohar as the female lead, with Mohan Babu playing the main villain. There is strong buzz around the intense face off scenes between Nani and Mohan Babu, especially the interval sequence executed on a large scale.
For now, the team is confident about the August release. But looking at how many big films have struggled to stick to schedules recently, the real challenge for The Paradise will be avoiding last minute delays and delivering on time.
