Initially, the group wanted to invest Rs 500 crore, but now it has announced an investment of Rs 272.15 crore. According to its DPR, the Group will complete the project in 2 years.
They will be providing 3000 direct jobs and 33,000 indirect jobs through the project. In the past, the Patanjali Group bought 172.84 acres of land in 2017 paying Rs 3 lakh per acre. The government asked for a total payment of Rs 5.18 crore.
145.64 acres in Chinaravuru and 27.20 acres in Pedaravuru were allotted for the project. But the government changed after that. They cancelled the deal saying Patanjali Group did not approach them.
Location Locked for Amaravati Airport?
In 2020, the past government revived the deal and asked for payment of Rs 24.86 lakh as fine and Rs 46.66 lakh as nala charges. Patanjali Group obliged. However, they put more conditions and the Group stepped back.
With the alliance government coming to power, Patanjali Group once again revived its efforts. On June 26, 2025, Baba Ramdev and CEO of Patanjali, visited the site.
