Earlier, Prabhas played Lord Ram in Adipurush. After Baahubali, there were huge expectations that Prabhas would ace the character of Lord Rama. But he turned into a joke and troll material due to worst execution by Om Raut. Prabhas faced outright rejection from audience as Lord Rama.

Now, even Ramayana is facing scrutiny. Though Ranbir is getting some appreciation, the teaser overall has not fully impressed many viewers.

Amid this, discussions have shifted to Mahesh Babu, who is expected to play Lord Ram in one of the episodes in SS Rajamouli's upcoming magnum opus Varanasi. According to inside reports, that segment has turned out exceptionally well. Rajamouli is widely known for his strong command over large-scale storytelling, especially in mythological and historical settings. He is simply a different kind of beast in this genre, and he would present Mahesh as Lord Rama in the most epic way.

Because of this, many strongly believe that Mahesh Babu could deliver the most impactful portrayal of Lord Ram on screen. So, fans claim that after Prabhas and Ranbir not getting it quite right, it is Mahesh Babu who could be remembered for the best portrayal of Lord Rama. Many feel he is destined to be the best Rama of this generation.
