Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga were spotted watching Durendra 2 in a packed public theatre (Allu Cinemas) in Hyderabad last night. Credit clearly goes to Sandeep for pulling Prabhas out to experience the film in a theatrical setting.
But the bigger question is, will this ignite a spark in Prabhas?
Ever since Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Prabhas has taken a more mellow, lazy approach. His performances have felt forgettable and his screen presence also faced heavy trolls.
Now, he is working with a director Sandeep Vana who is known for pushing boundaries and refusing to compromise.
Watching a high-energy, all-out performance like the one delivered by Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar 2 can be a trigger for any hero. Seeing that level of commitment on the big screen, with audience reactions in real time, can reignite something within.
This move by Sandeep Reddy Vanga feels deliberate. Taking Prabhas into a theatre to witness that intensity firsthand could be his way of nudging him out of his comfort zone and pushing him to give everything to his film Spirit they are working on.
