The latest attention Pushpa 2: The Rule has been gaining is through Shreyas Talpade's claim that he has never met Allu Arjun, yet he stars in the film as his legendary character.
Talpade further said that he never discussed his role with Allu Arjun and that he has done the drinking and chewing tobacco scenes of Pushpa by using cotton in his mouth during dubbing. This method showed how serious he was about the character's habit.
Ranbir Kapoor Can't Afford Blunder Like Prabhas
To make sure his voice was suitable for Pushpa's character, Talpade had 14 sessions. Talpade proved to be a professional by redoing scenes to get the perfect performance despite the pressure of high expectations after Pushpa: The Rise.
Arjun's performance makes Pushpa 2 go great, but the movie does not do well with a plot and directing. The film is more dependent on action scenes and celebrity endorsements rather than having a strong plot, which gives the tale less importance than the presence of the lead.
Vanga Effect: "Take Ranbir or Cut 50% Budget"
It may lack somewhere, but the charming character of Pushpa strikes the hearts of viewers in North India. Yet, Pushpa 2 is still an average sequel as its poor plot gets masked by the acting and action of Arjun.
Pushpa 2 is a decent film but bad story and direction. Yet, the film works well by virtue of Allu Arjun's character and action. Talpade has been sure to dub himself that lends value added but more than anything else, its star presence is doing the trick.
