In 2020, director Om Raut impressed audiences and critics with the gripping Tanhaji, starring Ajay Devgn. The film turned out to be a huge hit.
But unfortunately, Adipurush turned out to be one of the worst films ever made starring a top hero. Om Raut still gets trolled for his blunderous execution of such a classic epic. Adipurush also proved that South superstars shouldn't trust Bollywood directors so easily.
Neel Has To Address Key Issue For NTR!
Now, Ram Charan seems to be following the same path. He is in talks for a mythological epic to be directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, who made the very impressive Kill last year.
After Kill earned acclaim at international festivals and performed decently at the Indian box office, Nikhil has been in discussions with multiple actors for his next grand mythological epic. Reports now suggest that he is in advanced talks with Ram Charan for this big-budget venture.

According to Himesh Mankad (Pinkvilla), a Bollywood insider, Ram Charan and Nikhil have been discussing the project for over six months, with things progressing positively. With pre-visualization work already completed, the team is eager to collaborate with Ram Charan, though the actor has yet to make a final decision.
Sreeleela: Mahesh Babu Failed; Will KA Succeed?
If things fall into place, this mythological film could be Ram Charan's next project after his ongoing film with Buchi Babu Sana, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. While the timelines are yet to be finalized, the project is gaining momentum.
However, before starting the Ram Charan film, Nikhil is committed to working on another movie with producer Murad Khetani, with whom he previously collaborated on Apurva in 2023.
Apart from Nikhil, Ram Charan is also in discussions with several filmmakers, including Pushpa 2 director Sukumar, who is working on his next script.
However, fans are a bit skeptical about the Ram Charan and Nikhil Nagesh Bhat combo, as they aren't sure if the director can handle a top-tier South superstar like Ram Charan.
