It is known that Vinutha and her husband Chandrababu along with three others have been arrested by Chennai police for murdering Rayudu.
It is alleged that Vinutha and her husband executed the murder following doubts of Rayudu sharing their personal and political information to rivals. Rayudu's body was found near Koovur river in Chennai. He was strangulated and beaten up till he died, the police have found.
Meanwhile, the couple have pointed fingers at Srikalahasti MLA Bojjala Sudheer Reddy saying he orchestrated the murder to curb the growing popularity of Vinutha in the region.

On Thursday, Bojjala Sudheer Reddy was in Tirumala and he briefly spoke to media. He said he didn't want to talk about the matter, but was forced to address it.
Bojjala said he had two children and was standing in the temple. He sweared that he had nothing to do with the murder or Vinutha and blamed YSRCP for spreading false narratives against him on social media.
