Former minister Harish Rao launched a strong verbal attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during a press conference, calling him a blackmailer.
He alleged that Revanth was trying to secure votes in the Jubilee Hills constituency through intimidation and fear tactics.
Harish Rao accused the Chief Minister of threatening people by claiming that their ration cards would be stopped if they voted for the BRS. "Is he giving ration from his own house? Is it his personal property?" Harish asked, criticising what he called "politics of fear."
The former irrigation minister said Revanth Reddy was acting out of fear of losing his seat. "People must vote out the blackmailer," he urged.
Raising several questions, Harish Rao asked what happened to the 6000 houses Revanth had promised in the Cantonment area. "Where are the statues of NTR and PJR? Why did he wait two years to make Azharuddin a minister?" he questioned.
He further asked why PJR's son was not given a ticket in 2023, alleging that PJR had died because the Congress denied him a ticket, which he said reflected "the Congress party's anarchy."
Harish Rao said the Jubilee Hills bypoll would determine the future of Telangana, claiming that "only four brothers are happy" under the current government. "It is now up to the people to make their choice," he stated.
Continuing his attack, Harish alleged that Revanth Reddy had harassed industrialists under the guise of the Right to Information Act and also blackmailed private colleges.
He said that during KCR's tenure, the Arogyasri and fee reimbursement schemes were continued without disruption. Harish also accused Deputy CM Bhatti and CM Revanth Reddy of "blackmailing through HYDRAA."
