BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao alleged that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is a benami leader. He claimed that Revanth Reddy is working for other forces and not acting independently.
KTR said he would soon present evidence to support his allegations.
Speaking at a media meet at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, KTR made serious charges against the Chief Minister. He said the true nature of KLSR was exposed after a recent Supreme Court ruling. According to him, this verdict raised several questions about the government's decisions.
KTR stated that IT raids were conducted on KLSR earlier. He claimed the company went bankrupt in 2023 and was unable to pay salaries. He questioned how such a firm received government contracts worth Rs 6000 crore.
He further alleged that KLSR is Revanth Reddy's benami company. KTR said funds were being diverted to the company for the past two years. He claimed projects like the Kodangal lift scheme were unfairly awarded.
KTR said the Supreme Court had sought explanations from the state government. He added that on January 23, the court directed an agency to probe the KLSR issue. He accused Revanth Reddy of trying to divert attention by forming an SIT in the phone tapping case.
According to KTR, KLSR received projects under Amrut Scheme, Jal Jeevan Mission and Young India Residential Schools. He said these together were worth nearly Rs 6000 crore. He urged the central government to step in and punish those responsible.
KTR also recalled that when Revanth Reddy was PCC chief, he made allegations against BRS. Now, he said, BRS is making claims based on evidence. He demanded that CBI, ED and SFIO be involved in the investigation.
