KTR compared the CM to emperor Nero, alleging he was ignoring the crisis. He questioned if this was the right time to speak about beautification and Olympics when property, crops, and lives have been lost.
He demanded that the CM focus on assessing damages and providing relief.
He highlighted that women were stranded in Khammam despite three ministers representing the district. In Narmala, he said, only a Navy helicopter reached recently to rescue people. According to KTR, no proper action has been taken by the government.
KTR demanded compensation of Rs 25,000 per acre for farmers who lost crops and Rs 25 lakh to families who lost members. He also sought the construction of Indiramma indlu for those who lost their homes.
