The insider disclosed that the basic premise was supposed to focus on the story of a senior parliamentary officer and his junior, set in the background of the India-Maldives conflict.

However, Salman reportedly made some suggestions to director Vishnuvardhan, known for Shershaah, following which Vishnuvardhan was forced to reconsider his decision to make the film. The insider said that the suggestion was to launch Sher's son Abir on The Bull.

Salman had also approached Karan Johar about the same, and the latter was prioritizing the casting of someone like Siddharth Malhotra for the role of the junior officer. The same thing was being considered by Vishnuvardhan.

Salman did not stop and attempted to convince Karan and Vishnuvardhan about launching Abir. Notably, Karan and Vishnu believed that a new face might not be able to attract a lot of people, considering that the role was of an officer.

While the trio could not come to a decision, they decided to put a full stop to the project and promised that they would collaborate on something different in the future.
