The veteran Bollywood star Salman Khan has sent a legal notice to Asia News International (ANI), and an advocate named Amit Mishra demanding an apology for a statement made against the actor linking him to the infamous Dawood Ibrahim's D-Company.

Advocate Amit Mishra is representing the two accused in a firing case outside Salman's residence. In a recent interview with ANI, advocate Mishra claimed that Khan has "known ties" with a gangster (reportedly Dawood Ibrahim) and that Khan probably wants his clients dead.

He also stated that his clients have sought protection from the police, as according to him, they have been repeatedly threatened by the "D-Company".

This statement was published by Smita Prakash's ANI, and it was also circulated to several other media outlets. This led to Khan and his legal firm, DSK Legal taking an exception to the ANI article that was supplied to other news portals as well.

The legal notice says that Mr. Khan has denied all the baseless, and defamatory comments made against him. They believe that this is nothing but a malicious attempt to malign the reputation of Mr Khan, which he has built over the years through his hard work.

The notice further states that Salman is being portrayed as a perpetrator in this scenario, whereas in reality, he is the victim of the act. He has demanded an unconditional apology from all the parties within 48 hours.
