Lishalliny, who was crowned Miss Grand Malaysia 2021, shared her experience in a detailed Instagram post, sparking outrage online and demands for swift justice.
The incident occurred on June 21 at the Mariamman Temple, which Lishalliny visited alone. Unfamiliar with temple customs, she asked the priest for guidance during her prayers.
After the ritual, the priest allegedly told her he had prepared special sacred water and a protective thread for her and asked her to follow him to a private room for a blessing.

Inside the room, he reportedly poured a fragrant substance into holy water and doused her with it, making it difficult for her to see.
Lishalliny said the situation turned disturbing when the priest asked her to adjust her blouse. She refused, but claims he became aggressive, muttered prayers, and proceeded to grope her under her clothing.

In her post, she described being too shocked to react and leaving the temple in distress.
Several days later, she told her mother what had happened, and the family filed a police complaint. When they returned to the temple, they found the priest had already fled.
Locals reportedly told them this was not the first complaint against him, but that earlier warnings had been ignored.
The accused is an Indian national who was temporarily appointed to the temple. Police have confirmed an investigation is underway and are actively searching for the suspect.
Authorities have also appealed to anyone with further information to come forward.
