Mumbai's well-known Lilavati Hospital is at the center of controversy after current trustees claimed to have found evidence of black magic on the premises.
According to them, eight urns filled with human bones, skulls, hair, rice, and other ritualistic objects were discovered beneath the office floor. These allegations come at a time when the hospital trust is already under scrutiny over financial irregularities amounting to ₹1,250 crore.

The discovery was reportedly made following a tip-off from a former employee. The trustees documented the excavation process on video, raising further concerns about the activities that might have taken place. The hospital's financial scandal has already led to three FIRs against former trustees, including Vijay Mehta and his associates, for alleged money laundering and tax fraud.
Many of them are said to have left India and are currently residing in the UAE and Belgium.

In addition to financial fraud, a complaint was filed under Maharashtra's Anti-Black Magic Act, alleging that former trustees performed rituals to harm Prashant Mehta, the current trustee, and his mother, Charu Mehta.
However, the accused have dismissed these claims, calling them baseless and an attempt to divert attention from legal battles over control of the hospital.

A forensic audit of the hospital's financial records has uncovered large-scale fraud, further complicating the case. The controversy surrounding Lilavati Hospital continues to deepen, with both financial and alleged occult activities now under investigation.
