The AP government has taken a vital decision on the matter of residential houses on land meant for Ramanaidu Studios in Visakhapatnam.
The government has decided to take back 15.17 acres of land that was being converted into residential plots. The government is following the Supreme Court ruling that land can be taken back if it is not used for the purpose for which it had been allotted.

RP Sisodia, special chief secretary of revenue department issued the orders.
The 34.44 acres of land was meant for a film studio and any other requirements for the studio. Of this, 15.17 acres was asked for residential layout during the YSRCP term.
Cases On Cadre: Pithapuram Needs CBN's Attention
Opposing the same, MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu filed a petition in the Supreme Court. Jana Sena leader Murthy Yadav requested the government to stop this unauthorized usage.
In a latest move, RP Sisodia instructed the district collector to issue show cause notice to Ramanaidu Studios. He mentioned that action, if any, must be taken after giving ample time.
