When the film released on Eid, expectations were sky high and fans were excited to see Salman back in action and with Rashmika. But the film failed to live up to the hype and became a box office dud despite the star power and big budget.
Now streaming on Netflix, Sikandar is still dividing audiences. Many have not spared Salman and are calling it one of his weakest films.
Sikandar on Netflix: Salman's PR Fooling Audience?
Critics and viewers have panned the film for its weak storytelling, inconsistent background score and uninspired performances. Some even felt Salman looked disinterested and one comment went viral saying his Netflix promo was more entertaining than the film itself.
Others complained about the illogical action sequences and cringeworthy dialogues and some fans had to fast forward through songs and fight scenes.

But there's a small section defending the film saying it's "way better than the hate it got" and is watchable if you're in the mood for a masala entertainer.
Some praised Rashmika's presence and Salman's style saying the film delivers what his fans expect - over the top action and larger than life heroism. In the end Sikandar is a polarising film. If you're a die hard Salman Khan fan you might find something to enjoy.
But for most viewers the weak plot and tedious narrative makes it a tough recommendation. Watch it only if you're curious or a true Salman loyalist.
