A case was filed by CID based on a report by the Vigilance department. In this backdrop, CID arrested Jaganmohan Rao on Wednesday.
During the recently concluded IPL 2025, there was a face-off between SRH and HCA regarding tickets.
The HCA members locked the F3 corporate box at Uppal Stadium for not providing tickets to them. The box belonged to Sanjiv Goenka of Lucknow Giants. It was locked hours before their March 27 match.
SRH expressed its anger over the matter. They even threatened to shift the home base of SRH team from Hyderabad. Meanwhile, SRH made serious allegations against HCA president Jaganmohan Rao. They complained of coercion, blackmail and intimidation by Rao.

Due to this, the state government ordered a Vigilance inquiry. It was found that HCA president put undue pressure on SRH. Based on the report, CID filed a case against Rao.
