Dhurandhar 2 is smashing all records at the box office, not just in India but all over the world. The first day worldwide gross is around Rs.185 crores including paid previews.

The first long weekend is expected to cross Rs.450 crores worldwide gross.

The film has largely received a positive response from the audience, though the majority feels the film lacks the punch and thrill of the first part. However, there are very strong negative reactions also.

Kannada cinema's star heroine , also known as Divya Spandana, has ripped apart Dhurandhar 2 in a brutal review of the film on social media.

She described it as an "endurance test," comparing the experience to sitting through a painfully dull textbook that never seems to end. According to her, the film becomes so exhausting that viewers may end up laughing out of sheer frustration. She went as far as advising audiences to skip theatres altogether and watch it on OTT, where they at least have the option to pause or exit.

Her attack extended across every aspect of the film. She slammed the direction, dialogues, editing, background score, and performances, calling them consistently underwhelming and poorly executed. In a sharp dig, she suggested the makers either did not realize a release deadline was approaching or simply did not care, given how unfinished the film felt.

Comparing it to the first installment, Ramya said the original Dhurandhar had energy, engagement, and crowd response, while the sequel falls flat. She claimed the audience in her theatre showed visible disappointment, with none of the whistles or excitement seen earlier.

Her remarks about Ranveer Singh were particularly biting. Dismissing claims that he carried the film, she sarcastically said the only thing that stood out was his hair, joking that it had more presence than his performance and could qualify for a supporting role.

She also blasted the film's excessive violence, calling it absurd and over the top. According to her, the film turns every possible object into a weapon and keeps escalating brutality to such an extent that it stops being shocking and becomes unintentionally comical. She mocked the unrealistic survival of characters in extreme situations, saying it defies basic logic.

In her closing remarks, Ramya labeled the film a "huge disappointment" and a "snoozefest," saying that while the first part made audiences cheer, the sequel leaves them questioning its very existence. She also took a direct swipe at director Aditya Dhar, calling out what she described as outdated propaganda and overindulgence.

Dhurandhar fans are bashing Ramya under her post. Many feel she is slamming the film only due to her political ideology differences with the content shown in the film. However, there are many who support her and echo her sentiments.
