Deepika Padukone might be one of the most influential Bollywood actresses of all time and has given numerous blockbusters over the years, however, 2024 was a year she would probably want to forget.

Her performances were not only trolled but also regarded to be cringe-worthy and disastrous. Deepika starred alongside Hrithik Roshan in action entertainer Fighter. The film performed decently at the box office but it was Hrithik Roshan who took all the praise given his electrifying personality and persona.

Deepika was trolled heavily for her underwhelming performance making Fighter a terrible watch for some fans. Kalki also did good collections in the Hindi belt given Prabhas's immaculate fanbase in the North region.

However, Deepika was again in the headlines for her cringeworthy performance receiving several trolls for her role in the film. As Singham Again aimed to take over the theatres, Deepika's role as a solo Police officer attracted a lot of attention as fans expected something explosive from her character.

Singham Again was like the last nail in the coffin as it damaged her reputation even more given her cheesy dialogues and dramatic scenes. Receiving numerous trolls and remarks, many even called it her worst performance ever.

The film which was seemingly an action entertainer seemed to become unintentionally funny due to Deepika's performance. As she moves into 2025 with a huge wall of trolls and insults, she would look to make a comeback at the box office with something completely out of the box for her next role.

Comparing this year with last year, it saw Deepika in two of the most successful films of 2023 which were Jawan and Pathaan. It remains to be seen if Deepika will be able to repeat that success and overcome the cringeworthy performances she did in 2024.
