Meiyazhagan, starring Karthi and Aravind Swami in the lead role, which was directed by 96 famed C Prem Kumar, finally got released and acquired positive responses from the audiences.

Meiyazhagan was produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment, and the musical album of this movie was composed by Govind Vasantha, who has already composed the music for the 96 movie.

This movie has lots of expectations among the Tamil audiences as this movie was directed by C Prem Kumar after a 6-year gap after giving a blockbuster movie 96.

Tamil audiences and critics who have watched this movie showered the movie with positive responses; also, at the same time, some audiences mentioned that the first half of the movie was tremendous while the second half dips in some places.

Also, many audiences mentioned that Karthi and Aravind Swami's acting was brilliant and a career-best performance from them. C. Prem Kumar once again made the audience feel deep human emotions.

Even though this movie had only decent occupancy on its first day, the movie may pick up from tomorrow after audiences' positive responses. Also, Meiyazhagan will have a free run till October 10th, as there aren't any big movies releasing in Kollywood next week.
