After the massive success of Laapata Ladies, actor Aamir Khan is reportedly in talks with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a supposed upcoming superhero project.
Rumours have also started circulating that Aamir Khan might partner up with producer Allu Aravind to create a sequel for Ghajini, thus turning the standalone masterpiece into a franchise. Reports claim that Aamir is currently waiting for the drafts of both projects to arrive before deciding.

Social media seems highly divided on this news, with users voicing their opinions from both sides. While some do seem excited at the prospect of Aamir and Lokesh working together, their voices seem to be suppressed by the huge criticisms.
One user on X remarked, "Aamir as a superhero in his 60s? What's next, Ghajini 2 at 70?", while another user objected more fiercely by saying, "Why is he even thinking of a sequel to Ghajini? The story was complete, no one asked for this."
Sequel After 35 Years: SRK's Legacy At Risk?
Others advised Aamir Khan to focus more on meaningful cinema rather than 'cashing out' on outdated ideas.
Though Aamir is known as an actor who reinvents himself, it would be very interesting to see how this risky gamble pays him off if ever materialised. With the general sentiment of disappointment among the fans, it seems very likely that this will leave another dent in the actor's legacy.
