Suriya's recent release Kanguva was made with a budget of 350 crores and is said to be the proper Pan-Indian movie from Kollywood, which was released on November 14th and got poor responses from the audiences.

After Kanguva Suriya is now acting as a lead under Karthik Subbaraj's direction which is tentatively titled Suriya 44 and after this, he is going to act as a lead in Suriya 45 which is directed by RJ Balaji.

In this scenario, there were speculations that Suriya's Dream project which is Karna under Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and planned to be produced by Excel Entertainment is in financial trouble.

As per updates, the production house Excel Entertainment has asked Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to reduce the budget of the movie, as the estimated budget of this movie from the director's side was said to be around 600 crores.
