Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's comments about "Telangana Dishti" are drawing sharp reactions from Telangana Political Leaders.
His remark during a visit to Konaseema, while speaking to farmers about coconut trees withering due to saltwater incursion, has now turned into a heated political debate.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy entered the issue and demanded an apology from Pawan Kalyan. He even threatened to stall the actor's films in Telangana. More leaders joined the criticism, while BRS leaders responded in a softer tone compared to Congress.
Janasena later released a short Press Note saying Pawan Kalyan's comments were misinterpreted. The party asked everyone to avoid creating conflict, especially since relations between both states remain cordial. The note had only two sentences and carried no signature.
Meanwhile, the Blue Media is trying to widen the gap between TDP and Janasena. It is pushing stories claiming TDP or BJP leaders are not defending Pawan Kalyan. It argues that his long-term alliance plans are failing because his partners are silent during this coordinated attack.
This claim does not hold ground. Silence from TDP actually helps Pawan Kalyan. If TDP responds, BRS will use Telangana Sentiment to intensify the issue. More leaders will step in, and the attacks will increase, which will only hurt him further.
The same applies to BJP. If BJP supports Pawan Kalyan, both Congress and BRS will target him harder to score points over the BJP. That will blow the issue out of proportion. Staying silent helps the matter settle on its own.
