Days after judgement in Amrutha honour killing case, a new incident has occured in Telangana. The deceased has been identified as Purella Sai Kumar from Mupparithota village in Eligedu mandal, Peddapalli district.
Sai fell in love with a girl from his own village. But their castes happened to be different. The girl's father was against their friendship and even advised Sai to stop meeting his daughter.

But the love birds continued their relationship leading to extreme anger in girl's father. He then decided to kill Sai.
On Thursday night, Sai was sitting and chatting with his friends near Venkateswara temple. The girl's father reached the spot at around 10 pm with an axe.

He instantly struck Sai with the axe that led to severe injuries. Sai was immediately rushed to the Sultanabad government hospital by friends and family members. However, Sai succumbed to injuries during treatment.
Despite severe punishment to such crimes and public outrage, such incidents continue to happen. One solution is to create awareness regarding such matters.
