A new buzz is making rounds in Congress circles. The talk is that three cabinet ministers may be dropped and three new faces brought in after the Jubilee Hills by-election.
Those likely to face the axe are Konda Surekha, Komatireddy Venkatram Reddy, and Ponnam Prabhakar. Konda Surekha has caused repeated embarrassment to the party with her public remarks against film star Nagarjuna and KTR. The controversy deepened after her daughter's comments against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, sparking talk that she may be removed soon.

Tension between the CM and Komatireddy Venkatram Reddy also surfaced when he complained about being left out of a meeting between the CM and TFI workers. Similarly, Ponnam Prabhakar drew criticism for his comments about Adluri Laxman, though he later denied making them.
As part of the expected reshuffle, Mahesh Kumar Goud, Vijayashanti, and Balu Nayak are said to be in line for cabinet berths. Meanwhile, Ponnam Prabhakar may be shifted to the post of TPCC chief.
Party sources say the Congress high command wants to control the growing damage to the party's public image in the state. However, any major decision will be taken only after the Jubilee Hills by-election.
