In a shocking development, Telangana High Court had struck down the G.O. given by the Government regarding Akhanda 2.
The Telangana Home Department allowed Special Premiere tonight for the film with a special price of 600 Rupees including the GST.
The Government also allowed prices to be increased for a period of three days (50 Rupees for Single Screens and 100 Rupees for Multiplexes).
Now, these stand canceled. This development has come hours before the premieres and it has to be seen how it will be implemented.
Previously, it happened with Pawan Kalyan's OG as well. The High Court struck the G.O. at the last minute but the Special Premieres and Hikes continued after the Production House went for an appeal.
The first week passed off before the appeal was decided and so, the purpose of OG was served.
Back then, the High Court directed the Government not to issue Price Hikes and Premiere permissions before they completely hear and decide on this matter.
A Lawyer approached the High Court bringing to the notice of the Akhanda 2 matter and informed the court that it amounts to Contempt of the Court.
The court struck down the G.O. and it has to be seen what happens now!
It will utter chaos if the order is implemented now.
The tickets were already sold and theater managements feel fans will vandalize the theaters if the shows are canceled.
Fans are already angry after the film got postponed once.
Somehow, Akhanda 2 is going through even problem and it has to be seen what is in store for the film!
