Jana Sena has announced that it will contest the upcoming ZPTC elections in Telangana. With less than a month remaining, the party aims to field as many candidates as possible.
The party has urged every Jana sainik and veera mahila to actively take part in the campaign. Leaders have asked cadres to spread the ideology of Pawan Kalyan across the state.
According to the party, the move is aimed at strengthening Jana Sena in both Telugu states. It also wants to position itself as an alternative political force in Telangana.
The leadership stated that a detailed plan of action for Telangana will be announced soon. The focus will be on grassroots-level expansion.
Interestingly, Jana Sena was originally founded in Telangana. However, it later grew primarily as a political force in Andhra Pradesh.
At present, Jana Sena is part of the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh. The party now appears keen to revive and expand its presence in Telangana.
Recently, Pawan Kalyan said people from his constituency should not expect him at small family functions. He stated that his responsibilities now include expanding the party at the national level.
Jana Sena had earlier contested the panchayat elections in Telangana. With the ZPTC polls, the party is clearly working to widen its political footprint in the state.
