Only a few days ago, Trump threatened India with Reciprocal Tariffs. And then came the India-Pakistan issue.
Trump embarrassed the Indian Government by unilaterally announcing the Ceasefire with Pakistan.
The Narendra Modi Government was on the backfoot when he openly announced that he threatened India and Pakistan with cutting Trade ties.
Trump not only equated India and a rogue nation like Pakistan but also sent a message that the Modi Government, for the first time, has agreed to the involvement of a third country in its conflict.

And now, Trump has openly announced that he urged Apple CEO Tim Cook not to set up a manufacturing unit in India.
"I told him, 'My friend, I'm treating you very well. You're bringing in $500 billion. But now I hear you're building all over India. I don't want you building in India,'" Trump said.

"India can take care of itself. If you want to take care of India, go ahead - but remember, India is one of the highest tariff nations in the world. It's very hard to sell there."
He also made an open appeal not to manufacture Apple products in India.
"They offered us a deal where they'd charge us virtually no tariffs. I told Tim, we've tolerated all your China plants for years, and we're treating you well. But we don't want Apple building in India," the President said.
It is very clear that the Trump administration is acting in opposition to the interests of India.
In a week's time, the President embarrassed India on the World Stage not once but thrice.
The question now is whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi can respond and give a retort.
It is not easy to respond to the President of the United States, just like any other country. It comes with a lot of complications.
But then, the Public is keenly watching Modi on this matter.
In the past, Prime Ministers like Indira Gandhi and AB Vajpayee stood against the US and gained immense respect for India on the World Stage.
Moreover, Donald Trump is a hot head to handle. No one knows when he will explode or how to handle him.
So, it is not easy for Narendra Modi, but at the same time, he should not be a mute spectator when India's image is being damaged.
