Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump is set to return to power and take over America. By reaching 277 electoral votes, surpassing the critical threshold of 270, Trump is poised to become the 47th President of the United States.
Trump secured the electoral college after winning Wisconsin state. He also won major swing states like Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina.

Trump already declared his win and delivered a victory speech as well. He thanked the American people for the "extraordinary honour" of being elected as the 47th president of the country. He said that America has given an unprecedented and powerful mandate.
In 2020, Trump lost to Joe Biden as he managed to win only 232 electoral votes while the latter won 306. However, he bounced back hard this time and became the president in non-consecutive terms.

Trump will be the second president to serve non-consecutive terms. The first president to serve non-consecutive terms was Grover Cleveland, 127 years ago.
Meanwhile, leaders from various countries have been sending their congratulatory messages to Trump. India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Trump on this historic victory and hoped to further strengthen the India-US relationship.
