A case was filed against ex minister and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi for attacking TDP office in Gannavaram. After hearings from both parties, the High Court postponed the case to February 5, 2025.

Vamsi's lawyer Pattabhi argued that SC, ST Atrocities Act will not apply to him as he was not part of the attack. He said the High Court had the power to take a decision on anticipatory bail.

He further said that the matter be referred to a judges bench and added that they filed an Interlocutory Application (IA).

Counsel on the side of police PP M Lakshminarayana reacted by saying that IA was not applicable to the case. He argued that the same court had earlier said it was not appropriate for such cases to directly approach High Court for anticipatory bail instead of going through lower court.
