She has been staying away from party activities for some time now and now resigned from the party.

Vasireddy Padma sent the resignation letter to the YSR Congress office. She used scathing words in the letter making severe allegations about Jagan.
A few lines in the letter goes like this - "పార్టీని నడిపించడంలో జగన్ కు బాధ్యత లేదు. పరిపాలన చెయ్యడంలో బాధ్యత లేదు. సమాజం పట్ల అంతకంటే బాధ్యత లేదు. అప్రజాస్వామిక పద్ధతులు, నియంతృత్వ ధోరణలు ఉన్న నాయకుడిని ప్రజలు మెచ్చుకోరని ఈ ఎన్నికల తీర్పు స్పష్టం చేసింది"

Vasireddy Padma has been a big loyalist since YSR and sailed with Jagan after he deferred with Congress.
If someone like Padma is leaving the party, it only outlines the plight of the party.

There are reports that Padma is looking to join the Janasena Party. She earlier played a key face of the Praja Rajyam Party but deserted the party later. However, she did not criticize Chiranjeevi or his family members while leaving the party.
