Hyderabad comes in category 2 and since 4 pm, drills are being conducted at select places. Videos of people participating in the drills are doing rounds on social media.
In Hyderabad, drills will be conducted in Secunderabad cantonment, Golconda cantonment, Nacharam and Kanchan Bagh between 4 pm and 4.30 pm.
District staff, civil defense wardens, volunteers, home guards, NCC Core, NSS, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, college and school students have been invited to lead the mock drills.
Around the country, the drills are being conducted in 244 districts in 259 locations. It has to be noted that mock drills are being conducted after a gap of 50 years in the country.
