Initially, there were also reports that Shankar approached Vijay in the year 2019 with the Game Changer script, but Vijay didn't like it, and then Shankar started the project with Ram Charan.
The Game Changer story was written by Karthik Subbaraj, and the screenplay was developed by Shankar. In the year 2021, the shooting of the Game Changer movie was started with Ram Charan.
