The horrifying incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the hotel where he worked as a cook.
Manoj, who was employed at a local hotel in Loomb village, usually stayed there overnight.
On Friday night, as he slept on a cot under a sheet, a cobra entered the room around 3:30 am.
The snake bit Manoj on the hand. He woke up, looked around but did not see anything unusual, so he went back to sleep. Moments later, the cobra returned and bit him again, this time on the stomach.

Startled, Manoj finally saw the snake on his bed. In panic, he rushed out and called the hotel owner, who arrived quickly and took him to a doctor in Kirthal village.
Despite the doctor's efforts, Manoj's condition worsened, and he died during treatment. The incident has deeply saddened the village. Manoj was the younger of two brothers. His elder brother Anuj works as a laborer, and their father had passed away 15 years ago.

Village head Bahadur Singh said Manoj was a hardworking boy and appealed for government support to the grieving family. Locals have also demanded financial assistance from the administration.
