In the last few weeks, Instagram influencer Vishnupriya has been all over media.
She has been under scrutiny for allegedly creating paid subscriptions that lure youth in the name of hot content and monetizing it.
A legal complaint has also been filed.
Today marked the first time she appeared to face the media. When a TV reporter asked how much money she had made, she was seen reacting and screaming "mummy." The short clip quickly went viral.
Many on social media pointed out their behavior. They questioned how these Insta influencers and some movie celebrities who confidently post bold, revealing content for reach and subscriptions appear uncomfortable when facing direct media questions.
The backlash is not limited to Vishnupriya alone. It has also extended to TV anchors and film actresses who rely heavily on glamour-driven content on Instagram to boost popularity and engagement.
