Director SS Rajamouli has launched the most ambitious project of his career to date. Varanasi glimpse sets a massive tone and the scale on display is stunning for any Telugu filmmaker.
It again shows how far Rajamouli pushes himself with each film.
What surprised many is the reaction from the industry. Several directors and technicians posted their excitement as soon as the first glimpse dropped. Rajamouli has given career defining highs, both in performance and box office, to every major Telugu star hero he has worked with including Prabhas, NTR, and Ram Charan. Yet none of them posted a single tweet or public reaction.
There are two possible reasons. One, Mahesh Babu is still their direct competition, so they may be avoiding public praise for a film led by him. But it is hard to believe they would stay silent for a Rajamouli project. This is more of a Rajamouli film than a Mahesh Babu one.
The second possibility is a strategic call. Rajamouli might prefer that these stars stay quiet for now so the buildup remains controlled. When the time is right, comments from top stars can boost hype and give the publicity a new edge. It is possible he himself asked them not to respond this early.
For now, in the public eye, all of Rajamouli's heroes have stayed silent on the Varanasi glimpse.
