Why CBN Skipped Telangana Global Summit?

The two-day Telangana Rising Global Summit began today in Future City. Delegates from India and abroad are attending the event to discuss plans with industrialists and experts to scale Telangana's economy to $3 trillion by 2047.

Last week, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy visited Andhra Pradesh and invited Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to the summit. Naidu chose not to attend but conveyed his wishes to the Telangana Government.

Just hours before the summit began, Naidu posted a message wishing the event success, saying he hoped it would drive growth, innovation and progress. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy thanked him publicly and replied with gratitude for the gesture.

The question remains why did Chandrababu Naidu skip the summit? Telangana expects MoUs worth one lakh crore from the event, and Andhra Pradesh is also holding talks with several of the same investors. Attending the summit would place Naidu in a position where he either promotes Telangana or divides focus between both states.

With Naidu and Lokesh currently pushing Brand Andhra Pradesh to global investors, doing both at once seems counterproductive. Lokesh is already in the United States pitching investment opportunities. Naidu's presence at the Telangana summit could also invite comparisons with last month's Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam.

A joint appearance with Revanth Reddy would have shifted attention to their relationship instead of development goals. Avoiding such narratives may have been a strategic choice. Skipping the summit, at this stage, appears intentional and practical.
