Greaves Electric Mobility announces launch of electric cargo three-wheeler

Greaves Cotton arm Greaves Electric Mobility, on September 15, announced the launch of the electric cargo three-wheeler vehicle 'Greaves Eltra' to meet the growing cargo demand.

Greaves Eltra offers a power output of 9.5 kW and incorporates a 10.8 kWh battery pack, essential for logistics operations, according to the company press release.

The electric cargo has a range of over 100 kilometres on a single charge and includes a factory-installed delivery container with a storage capacity of 140 cubic feet.

The company stock, as of 1:30 pm on September 15, is trading more than 2% higher at Rs 146.80.

Commented on the launch, Sanjay Behl, CEO, of the Electric Mobility Business said, "With an established ecosystem of aftersales support, spare parts availability, and financing options, of the group, we guarantee a world-class ownership experience to all our customers. With India's last-mile delivery sector growing exponentially with rising urban consumers, Eltra is well-suited for large and small businesses."

Greaves Eltra, manufactured by one of the subsidiaries of Greaves Electric Mobility at its manufacturing location in Hyderabad, will be available throughout India via Greaves Electric Mobility's nationwide network.

Earlier this year in January, the company unveiled a range of two-wheeler and three-wheeler electric vehicles (EV) at Auto Expo 2023.
