Times Music's film label Junglee Music and Windows Production are extending their long-running partnership with a new seven-film Bengali slate, announced as the production house marks 25 years in the business.
The collaboration continues an association that has seen Junglee Music manage music releases across several Windows Production films over the years. The new slate comes as Bengali cinema continues to strengthen its presence across theatrical and streaming platforms, with music remaining a key part of audience discovery and engagement.
The first title under the agreement will be Phool Pishi O Edward, scheduled for release on 29 May 2026.
Mandar Thakur, CEO, Junglee Music/Times Music, said: "As Windows Production marks 25 years of an incredible storytelling legacy, we are delighted to deepen our association with them through this ambitious seven-film slate. At Junglee Music, we strongly believe that music is central to the emotional fabric of cinema, especially in a culturally rich space like Bengali films. Our continued partnership is built on a shared vision of creating stories where music and narrative elevate each other, and we look forward to delivering soundtracks that resonate with audiences long after they leave the theatres."
Shiboprosad Mukherjee, co-founder of Windows Production, added: "As Windows Production completes 25 years, it feels incredibly special to embark on this new journey with Junglee Music. Our collaboration has always been rooted in a shared passion for meaningful storytelling and memorable music. Expanding this partnership to seven films is not just a celebration of our past work together, but also a commitment to pushing creative boundaries and bringing fresh, engaging content to our audiences."
The expanded partnership reflects the growing importance of regional film catalogues for music companies, particularly as streaming platforms continue extending the reach of local-language soundtracks beyond their core markets. Bengali cinema has remained a consistent part of that shift, with music continuing to play a central role across both theatrical and digital releases.
