Boost to Ayushman Bharat: Jharkhand makes Golden card charges 'Nil'
Ranchi, August 16: With a vision to have a healthy state, the Jharkhand government has abolished charges to make Ayushman Bharat Golden Card from today. The Raghubar Das government has aimed to give golden cards to all the beneficiaries before the first anniversary of Ayushman Bharat arrives.
Also, in an endeavor to boost healthcare delivery system in cities, the Jharkhand Government has started Atal Mohalla Clinic in different parts of the State. Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday inaugurated the clinic on the occasion of the first death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Initially, a total of 25 clinics will be established across 15 districts. The target is to set up 100 such clinics till September 25. The clinics aim to provide primary care to masses in their vicinities only. Patients would get free medical facilities along with medicines at these clinics. There would be 4 such clinics in Ranchi, Dhanwad, and West Singhbhum, while 2 each in Bokaro, Deogarh, and Hazaribagh.

CM Raghubar Das has also inaugurated country's first hospital dedicated for Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana beneficiaries named Tata Main Hospital (TMH) Golmuri in the Tinplate Township. The 30-bedded hospital is located behind the existing Tinplate Hospital. The Tata Steel managed hospital will provide 24×7 facilities for orthopedic, general surgery, pediatric and critical care treatment.
