Big news related to 5G, the time of 5G trial in India is decided
The Digital Communication Commission (DCC), the Supreme Court decision-maker, has given its approval to the rules for the 5G trial in India. Now it has cleared the way for the start of the trial of 5G in India. According to sources, there is full potential for the 5G trial to start in July. The telecom department will start the process of spectrum overture for the trial in two weeks by the telecom companies. Telecom companies will be licensed for 5G trial for one year.
In addition to this, DCC has decided to send it to TRAI for consideration of the recommendations made on the 5G spectrum auction. This step has been taken in the interest of the industry.
Sources said that the rules and conditions of the 5G trial were approved in the meeting of the DCC on Thursday. The officer associated with this case said that the DCC members believe that keeping in view the target of broadband for Digital India and everyone, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) should review its recommendations again.
The source also said that keeping in view the rapid mergers in the telecom industry, TRAI should aim to ensure adequate competition. The Commission includes senior officials of the Policy Commission, Department of Industrial and Internal Trade Promotion, Department of Economic Affairs, Electronics and IT Ministry and Department of Telecommunications.
