According to survey results published in Lancet Global Health, a serosurvey conducted on people under 10 years of age in India showed that a large proportion of the population is susceptible to coronavirus infection. The report states that the spread of infection in most states of India is expected to continue until the goal of increasing mass immunity is achieved.
Now this work can be done by natural means of infection or by vaccination. According to the report, by August 2020, about one in 15 people aged 10 years or older were prone to SARS-COV-2 infection. The spread of infection increased by 10 times between May and August 2020.
