A New Way to Send Voice Notes
The "AI Voice Effects" feature enables users to modify their voice using artificial intelligence before sending it. With this update, even simple voice messages can be transformed into fun, dramatic, or stylized versions, enhancing the overall chatting experience.
This feature is now live in India and is available within Instagram's DM (direct messaging) section.
Eight Unique Voice Filters
Users can choose from eight different voice effects:
Chipmunk
Demon
Alien
Robot
Underwater
Stadium
Wobble
Fishbowl
An "Original" option is also available for those who prefer to send unaltered voice messages. Recipients can see which effect was used and even try it themselves, adding an interactive element to conversations.

Open Instagram and go to a chat in DMs
Tap the voice note recording button
Record your message
Select an AI voice effect and preview it
Send the modified voice note
