Consumer appliances brand EDT has introduced Recipe Ramsay, an AI-powered kitchen operating system developed in partnership with SagePilot AI. The system is designed for the company's LUMA PureGlass air fryer with NutriRetain Edge , integrating conversational AI directly with a smart kitchen appliance.
The innovation connects artificial intelligence with everyday cooking decisions, allowing users to receive recipe suggestions and cooking instructions through WhatsApp.
According to EDT, the idea behind Recipe Ramsay emerged from research involving more than 500 consumer interviews across different cities and demographics.
The study revealed that many people struggle not just with cooking but with deciding what to cook each day. Factors such as available ingredients, time constraints, dietary preferences, calorie goals, spice levels and serving size often create what the company describes as daily decision fatigue.
Recipe Ramsay aims to simplify this process through a conversational interface.
Users can enter details such as ingredients they have at home, available cooking time, and dietary or health goals. The AI system then suggests recipes specifically optimised for the LUMA air fryer, complete with temperature settings, cooking time and mode instructions.
Unlike many smart appliances that rely on dedicated apps, EDT chose WhatsApp as the platform for Recipe Ramsay to reduce friction for users.
By integrating the AI assistant into a familiar messaging platform, the company aims to eliminate steps such as downloading apps, creating accounts or navigating new interfaces.
If required ingredients are missing, the AI system can also compare availability across quick-commerce platforms, helping users quickly purchase what they need.
Commenting on the launch, EDT Co-Founder and CEO Naiyya Saggi said the platform is designed as a tightly integrated intelligence layer rather than a generic AI add-on.
She noted that the goal is to create a connected ecosystem where AI enhances the appliance's core functionality while making everyday cooking decisions easier.
The launch also follows EDT's recent $1.4 million pre-seed funding round, led by Sauce VC with participation from founders and industry leaders.
Industry observers say innovations like Recipe Ramsay highlight how artificial intelligence is increasingly being embedded into everyday home appliances, transforming kitchens into smart, connected environments.
