A simple act of kindness by a police officer in Bengaluru has won widespread appreciation online after a viral Reddit post highlighted how the officer helped two stranded bikers whose vehicle ran out of fuel.
The incident reportedly occurred near the Basavanagudi Police Station, where the bike stopped in the middle of the road after the riders realised they had almost run out of petrol.
According to the Reddit user who shared the story, the incident happened late at night when they and a friend were returning from a restaurant.
They initially hoped to reach the nearest petrol pump but the bike stopped directly in front of the police station.
While the two were worried about being stranded, a police officer approached them and calmly asked what had happened.
After hearing their explanation, the officer did not scold them or question them unnecessarily. Instead, he immediately stepped in to help.
The officer reportedly called two people from inside the station and asked them to bring petrol for the stranded riders.
The user also mentioned that despite a language barrier, the officer made efforts to communicate in Hindi so that the visitors would feel comfortable.
'The sweetest part was that he didn't really know Hindi and I don't know Kannada, but he kept trying to speak in Hindi just to make us feel at ease,' the user wrote.
The rider added that the gesture, though small, left a strong impression.
'Such a small moment, but it meant so much. Really grateful for that kindness,' the post read.
The post quickly went viral on social media, with many users praising the officer's compassion and sharing similar experiences with helpful police personnel.
