Passengers travelling to and from Bengaluru are advised to check schedules carefully as multiple train services will face partial cancellations and route diversions due to yard remodelling work at Channasandra railway station.
The temporary changes will affect select services between April 29 and May 2, according to railway authorities. Travellers are encouraged to verify departure stations and revised routes before starting their journey.
Train number 20687 Hubballi-KSR Bengaluru Superfast Express, running between April 29 and May 1, will be short-terminated at Yeshwantpur instead of reaching KSR Bengaluru.
Train number 20688 KSR Bengaluru-Hubballi Superfast Express, operating between April 30 and May 2, will originate from Yeshwantpur instead of KSR Bengaluru station.
This means passengers heading to or from the city centre may need to make alternate travel arrangements.
Train number 12785 Kacheguda-Ashokapuram Express, running from April 29 to May 2, will be diverted via Yelahanka, Yeshwantpur and KSR Bengaluru.
The train will skip Bengaluru East and Bengaluru Cantonment stations during this period.
Similarly, train number 12786 Ashokapuram-Kacheguda Express, operating from April 30 to May 2, will run via KSR Bengaluru, Yeshwantpur and Yelahanka, skipping Bengaluru Cantonment.
With temporary operational changes in place, passengers are advised to arrive early, confirm platform details, and use official railway enquiry systems for live updates.
The yard remodelling project is expected to improve railway operations and passenger convenience in the long term.
