New Delhi:Google is expected to launch its next-generation Pixel 11 series in August this year, continuing its annual refresh cycle for flagship smartphones.
The upcoming lineup is likely to include four models — Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold — bringing upgrades in performance, display, and camera technology.
While the new series is expected to introduce improvements in key areas, reports also suggest a possible reduction in base RAM configurations due to the ongoing global memory shortage. Despite this, Google appears focused on refining overall user experience through hardware and software enhancements.
The Pixel 11 series is expected to retain Google's signature design language, featuring a flat metal frame and a glass back. The overall look is likely to remain similar to the previous generation, maintaining a premium in-hand feel.
However, leaks point to minor refinements, particularly in the camera module. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL may adopt a cleaner aesthetic by removing body-coloured accents and opting for a more uniform, darker finish.
Another rumoured addition is a feature called 'Pixel Glow,' which could introduce LED-based lighting effects on the back panel. The standard Pixel 11 may feature a battery of at least 4,840mAh, while the Pro and Pro XL could offer around 4,707mAh and 5,000mAh respectively. The foldable variant is tipped to include a battery capacity of approximately 4,658mAh.
While Google has not officially announced pricing details, the Pixel 11 series is expected to fall within the premium smartphone segment in India. The base model could start around ₹75,000 to ₹85,000, while the Pro and Pro XL variants may cross the ₹1 lakh mark depending on configurations.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is likely to be the most expensive in the lineup, potentially priced above ₹1.5 lakh, similar to other foldable devices in the market.
