Seoul:Jungkook of BTS has sent social media into a frenzy after recreating the viral 'Hooligan biker trend', originally conceptualised by an Indian content creator, with the moment turning into a global highlight for fans.

The trend, set to the track Hooligan from BTS' latest album ARIRANG, has crossed 105 million views on Instagram, making it one of the most engaged posts on the platform.

Akash, the creator behind the original biker-themed reel, said he felt 'surreal' seeing Jungkook recreate his idea. Known for blending biking visuals with trending audio, Akash explained that he wanted to bring a unique twist to an already popular trend.

'The Hooligan trend was already viral, but most people were doing it the same way. My niche is bikes, so I adapted it to that style,' he said.

Akash's reel gained traction quickly, but the turning point came when BTS members RM and V liked the video, followed by Jungkook reposting it.

'When notifications wouldn't stop, I realised something big was happening. But once BTS members interacted with it, I knew it had reached another level,' he added.

Jungkook later created his own version of the biker trend, riding a bike and performing the sequence with his signature style, further amplifying its reach globally.

For Akash, Jungkook's recreation of the trend was a defining moment.

'It's the ultimate validation when an artist like him recognises your work,' he said, adding that Jungkook is his 'bias' in BTS because of his perfectionism and creative skills.

The K-pop star's version featured high-quality edits and smooth transitions, staying true to the essence of the original while adding his own flair.

Jungkook has been actively engaging with fan-made content around ARIRANG, often reposting dance and creative videos. Apart from Hooligan, tracks like SWIM and 2.0 have also inspired viral trends across social media platforms.

The singer's participation has significantly boosted fan engagement, turning user-generated content into global trends.

He has also taken part in other viral challenges, including the BBNO$ Two dance trend, further showcasing his connection with online culture.

Despite gaining global attention, Akash has chosen to remain anonymous, never revealing his face in videos.

'I want the focus to be on the skill and editing, not my identity. The helmet keeps the mystery alive,' he said.

When asked what he would say if he ever met Jungkook, he admitted he would be speechless but hopes for the opportunity someday.

Currently, Jungkook is touring North America with his bandmates as part of the ARIRANG World Tour, marking a major comeback phase for the group following their military service hiatus.

The viral 'Hooligan biker trend' highlights the growing power of fan-driven content in shaping global pop culture. With Jungkook amplifying a creator's idea to millions worldwide, the moment stands as a testament to how digital creativity can transcend borders and connect artists with their audiences.
