Mumbai: The trailer of the upcoming film Krishnavataram was unveiled on Wednesday through a unique, spiritually immersive event held across multiple sacred locations associated with Lord Krishna.
The launch began at Krishna Janmabhoomi and extended to revered sites such as Raman Reti Temple, Radha Rani Temple, Prem Mandir, and ISKCON Vrindavan, turning the unveiling into a devotional celebration.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the life and spiritual journey of Lord Krishna, portraying his emotional evolution and the separation from Radha as part of divine destiny.
A central figure in the Mahabharata and the guiding voice of the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna is revered for his teachings on duty, righteousness, and devotion. The film aims to depict his journey from playful childhood in Vrindavan to his pivotal role in the Kurukshetra war.
Conceived as a large-scale cinematic tribute, the film seeks to blend visual grandeur with deep emotional and spiritual storytelling. Makers say the project is designed to resonate with both cinema audiences and devotees.
The film is directed by Hardik Gajjar and written by Prakash Kapadia and Raam Mori.
The film features cinematography by Ayananka Bose and music composed by Prasad S. Production design is handled by Chokkas Bhaardwaj, while costumes are designed by Nidhi Yasha. Lyrics for the film are penned by Irshad Kamil.
The project is produced by Sajan Raj Kurup and Shobha Sant under Creativeland Studios Entertainment, along with Poonam Shroff and Parth Gajjar of Athasrikatha Motion Pictures.
The film will be distributed worldwide by AA Films, with music released under Saregama.
Envisioned as the first instalment of a trilogy, Krishnavataram is scheduled for a global theatrical release on May 7, 2026.
